DELTACADEMY CHARACTER BIOS
Albin Belle
The kind and benevolent head of Deltacademy, Albin Belle, is determined to change the world. He cares deeply about his students’ emotional and physical well-being and selects each student personally; a responsibility which he considers of paramount importance. He assesses all potential candidates with the utmost care, determining the depth of their compassion, courage, and conviction to the cause before deciding to invite someone into the Academy. His diligence is not only to ascertain a best fit, but also determine they can be trusted with whatever super power they obtain from the serum. Albin insists on G-Serum for every new member, in that joining the rebellion carries with it great danger. It is only with enhanced capabilities he can ensure their continuous safety.
Albin can sometimes be smug, but his decisions are well respected. There seems to be no limit to his knowledge, problem solving and strategic abilities. Even so, one gets the sense that he knows far more than he lets on. This, however, does not dampen the students’ affection for him and occasionally he even lets his lighter side show joining in their fun.
Lauren Cybele
Lauren is one of only two staff members at the Academy. In addition to assisting Albin, she is also responsible for the majority of the children's education. Lauren is often overworked and exhausted, but still makes time to be a comforting and supportive presence in the students' lives, serving both as a friend and parental figure.
Before coming to the Academy, Lauren worked in a dead-end job, but longed to do something more meaningful. She decided to leave the corruption and oppressiveness of mainstream society and went to work for the Deltacademy. As an employee, Lauren was not required to receive the serum. In that she had come to fight in the rebellion, however, she voluntarily received the G-Serum. The serum enhanced her protective abilities, as manifested by her ability to create protective force-fields.
Protagonist [Player’s Name]
The Player is the protagonist, a teen who finds the Deltacademy after escaping from one of the many Zero Institutes. [Player] was sent to the Institute following the death of his parents six months earlier; they were killed during a political protest. Although he has just arrived, he gets along well with the others. He is sometimes more withdrawn, occasionally jaded and melancholy, but he retains the hope and spark of determination instilled by his parents. Despite his grieving, he is both kind and personable. Little does he know that he alone possesses the power to change the world.
Lucy Belle
Lucy is the adopted daughter of the head of Deltacademy, Albin Bell, and its first active member. Lucy has her own unique style, and although her early traumatic experiences have made her distrustful and guarded, she is always the first to jump in to protect or defend others. The Serum gave Lucy a variety of powers, including they ability to fly and super-human strength. At present, she is the most powerful student in the Academy.
Isaac Brandt
To avoid being sent to a Zero Institute, Isaac Brandt ran away from home after his father fell ill. As a teen on the run, he discovered the Deltacademy. Upon learning that they were rebels, Isaac wasn’t interested in joining. He thought of himself as someone who actively avoided high risk or serious injury. Having no family and no where else to go, however, he reluctantly agreed to join the Deltacademy. Despite his initial hesitation, Isaac has become an active and outgoing member of the group. His face was severely burned when he acquired his pyrokinetic abilities, and Isaac wears a mask to conceal his scars. He uses the mask as part of his persona, playing the “clown,” and Isaac is always working to lighten the mood.
Aurora Liora
Aurora ran away from her fame-seeking parents when she could no longer endure their endless hounding, their singular focus on making her famous, and their grooming her for stardom. Despite all she has been through, she hasn’t lost an ounce of her showmanship albeit on her own terms. She is energetic and dramatic, and has adopted the persona of a magician as she has obtained the power of controlling light. She uses light to create illusions both to entertain her friends and to confuse and blind her enemies in battle.
Percy Neptune
The middle son of the famous Neptune family, Percy ran away from home and joined the Deltacademy after his parents forbade him to see true love. Percy is desperate to distance himself from his family and his entitled, posh upbringing. In his efforts, he can sometimes overcompensate by being crass, overly sarcastic and abrasive. Having now gained the ability to control water, he hopes to use his powers to fight the current regime and its societal restrictions, pursuing his ultimate goal of reuniting with his lost partner.
Kieran Chthon
Orphaned since infancy; Kieran Chthon grew up in a Zero Institute . As a result of the constant bullying he had to endure, Kieran became very timid and reserved. Through a fortunate turn of events, he escaped the Institute. Having heard secret rumors about the Deltacademy while at the Institute, Kieran set out to find it. He quickly became a dedicated and beloved member of the group; they are the only family he has ever known. Kieran developed the ability to manifest strong, flesh-like tendrils that he can manipulate with remarkable speed and accuracy. Unfortunately, the serum also caused side effects including bizarre changes in his appearance.
Riley Kurokuma
Despite her rough, tomboyish personality, Riley is highly principled due to the values instilled in her by her grandfather. He was the only one who ever cared for her and was the leader of a dangerous but honorable criminal family. Her nefarious parents usurped his position and with them now in charge, Riley joined the DeltAcademy to fight against others like her parents. Her strong personality is complimented by her powers, which allow her to transform her hands into bear-like claws with immense strength.
James Finley
James has always been a unique individual, spending almost all of his time role-playing as the heroic archetype from a corny television show. The most naive of the Academy members, James is the only one to maintain regular contact with his parents. James joined the Deltacademy purely out of his urge to fight for justice and become a hero. He uses his techno-kinetic powers to create gadgets and weapons which he uses during battles.
Chloe Marcus
Chloe is a very friendly and loves all things cute and pink. Even though she has yet to reveal anything about her past, she is well liked by the others due to her eagerness to be helpful and her caring nature. She was developed with the ability to control objects with her mind, and even as its newest member, Chloe fights fiercely for the Academy.
Cain Geronto
As the richest man in the world, Cain Geronto keeps up the appearance of a great philanthropist guiding the world back to traditional values and providing all children with free education. In reality, as the man behind the Zero Institutes, he is working toward controlling the public by indoctrination as he secretly pursues his nefarious goals. Ending his reign is the Deltacademy’s main purpose.
